Yes folks, it’s that time — the eagerly anticipated controversial episode of The Podcastle has arrived, delivered at your feet as a cat might deliver a mangled bird with its jugular torn open. This episode runs considerably longer than usual (we’re talking RetroforceGO length, kids) but this is probably my favorite show we’ve done yet, so I hope you enjoy it.
Now, this IS the controversial episode, and a lot of it is tongue-in-cheek. We will be talking about a variety of games in unflattering ways, games you might love very much. Similarly … certain sensitive non-game topics may come up as well for some reason. Basically, I’m just issuing a cover-all disclaimer here: This podcast may/will offend you! Wardrox, you ignorant slut. Everyone in America knows about Noah Webster, the guy who changed our spelling to the proper method. We’re quite proud of him.
And I refuse to listen to anyone who writes in a language in which “kerb” and “gaol” are proper spellings. Those look like a 4-year-old wrote them.
And by the way, soccer was a word created by the British. The soc part comes from “assoc.”, which in turn is short for association football. You came up with that in the 1860s to differentiate it from rugby football. It isn’t our fault that you changed rugby football into rugby and association football into football.

May I ask the point in all this juvenile and disgusting language? It sounds like a group of 14 year olds on Xbox live trying to out do each other by being controversial. You folk seem completely unable and unwilling to understand the concept of differing opinions. Your insecure ramblings about ICO and SotC reminds me of the mindless folk who say things like ‘High art crap’ and dismiss anything they can’t comprehend as pretentious because they don’t ‘get it’.
This podcast really is embarrassing and unprofessional. What is the point in saying everything is ‘Shit’, numerous times throughout the podcast.

Truly, truly humiliating.

The unprofessional and embarrassing opinions and views held by such small minded individuals offer little in the way of insight into videogames and are delivered with base ignorance and profanity. They do however offer an insight into the mind of a truly vile group of people whom I can only pity.
Both infantile and immature their integrity as games columnists or journalists takes a massive beating every time Jim opens his mouth. You can’t help but look down on him. He is the journalistic equivalent of Roy Chubby Brown, a disgusting cretin with all the intellect and charm of a homeless heroin addict.

I really do like ICO. I don’t give a shit what people say about me. I remember playing ICO back in 2001 when I was nine years old and never visited any review sites. I enjoyed playing ICO, I enjoyed the puzzles and I enjoyed it all around. I thought it was a great game. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

hi you guys, I was listening to your podcast and it’s an excellent show. One of girls on one podcast said Chocobo in funny way, could I hear that again it made laugh in a good way. I have been listening your podcast since it started it been great, keep up the good work.
Here are few questions for you guys. Is it cold in the u.k. because its hot (hell) in california? Are you guys going to e3 this year, e for all (e4 all), and comicon? I know its far away to visit. Will guys ever have a guest destructoid registered members on your podcast, just wondering fun idea? The music intro is funny as well to hear at the beginning of podcast. I also listen to all the podcast on destructoid.com. I need to think of better questions to ask you guys. I hope you guys are waiting for Bruno new movie, you know borat (Sacha Baron Cohen). I’ve heard the news about castlvania being a 3d fightning game which whatt i don’t want. Instead make a 2d with 3d castlevania like of Symphony the night game.
I have been been playing metal gear solid (i’m fightning sniper wolf , i got the collection except for part 4. I just never got ps1 in the begining because i had n64 whick i kind of regret. its because the games were expensive. I also fix my nintendo NES and played life force (its the gradius series) with nes advantage joystiq. well bye guys hear you next podcast.
